Kung Fu performance at the 2023 Toronto Chinatown Festival
We would like to invite you to be an audience, in-person, at the Bamboo Kung Fu martial art performance at the 2023 Toronto Chinatown Festival.
We plan to live stream the performance through Instagram Live. Stay tune!

Bamboo Kung Fu students will perform Chinese martial arts on stage at the 23rd Toronto Chinatown Festival on Saturday, August 23, 2023.
Our show will begin at 3:15 pm (UTC/GMT -4).
Our students have been practicing their kung fu for several months in preparation for the martial art presentation to the public audience. The stage on which we will be performing is located at the intersection of Spadina Avenue and Sullivan Street. The stage will be on the portion of the street for southbound traffic of Spadina Avenue just north of Sullivan Street.
About 2023 Toronto Chinatown Festival
The 2023 Toronto Chinatown Festival is an annual festival event hosted by the Chinatown Business Improvement Area (CBIA). The two-day weekend event will be from Aug 19th to Aug 20th. The event is a yearly affair since its beginning in the year 2000. The years 2020 and 2021 were discontinued due to the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.
The festive event attracts locals in the neighbourhood and visitors alike, to explore the offerings in Toronto Chinatown. The Festival will feature various cultural events:
- dragon and lion dances
- cultural shows including Chinese martial arts performances, singing, dancing, etc.
- various booths; some are food vendors selling multicultural foods
- Walking tour of Chinatown to explore various mural art pieces
FREE: All visitors can walk into the Festival without paying any fees.
